Agency by Ian Taylor, the factory ship Komandor of Norebo, marked a milestone in Punta Arenas by being the largest vessel that has unloaded Krill meal in this port with a length of 121 m. In addition, the volume unloaded is larger than usual, which implies a considerable activity from the logistical point of view.

A total of 1,280 tons were unloaded at the Mardones Pier in this southern city, cargo that was stored while awaiting shipment to its final destination.

In turn, Ian Taylor’s Owners Matters area was dedicated to the requirements that this vessel needed during its stay, such as crew change, garbage removal, spare parts delivery and coordination with suppliers, among others.

According to Sergio Vergara, Operations Manager Chile of Ian Taylor, “our shipping agency fulfilled all the requirements of this vessel during its operation in port, a special service considering the additional volume to what is customary to unload in this city. In addition, our Owners Matters area took care of all the needs that this huge factory ship had during its stay, demonstrating the comprehensive service that Ian Taylor delivers to its customers”.
