Providing all logistical support during his visit to Callao, Peru, Ian Taylor agency the frigate Guépratte and the French Navy’s helicopter carrier PHA Tonnerre, as part of the Jeanne d’ Arc training group’s stopover.
Both units have been touring the American continent, both along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, where they have participated in different naval exercises.
According to Rocio Ponce, Country Manager of Ian Taylor in Peru, “our shipping agency has been able to provide these two ships of the French National Navy with all the logistical support during their visit to Callao so that they can fulfill their planning without problems. They are highly equipped ships and with a large contingent on board, so it is necessary to carry out a very well planned work in order to comply with the requirements”.
The frigate Guépratte is one of the five frigates of the La Fayette class. With a length of 125 meters, its propulsion consists of four diesel engines (speed 25 knots) and different types of armament.
The PHA Tonnerre has a dimension of 199 meters by 32 meters and a deck of 865 square meters. It reaches a maximum speed of 19 knots and weighs 22,000 tons. It can accommodate 16 helicopters as well as armored vehicles.
