During May, Ian Taylor successfully coordinated the attendance of multiple project cargo and break bulk vessels at the ports of Antofagasta and Mejillones, reinforcing its operational capabilities in northern Chile and its expertise in complex cargo logistics.

The operations included the handling of copper cathodes, general cargo and industrial machinery, involving vessels such as BBC MarsBBC MarylandMarcellin A. DesgagnésNordika Desgagnés and Sedna Desgagnés.

Among the operations carried out during the month were:
• More than 33.000 tonnes of copper cathodes loaded for international markets
• General cargo and machinery discharge operations
• Coordination across multiple terminals in Antofagasta and Mejillones
• Continuous operational supervision and port logistics coordination

These port calls demanded precise planning, permanent coordination among terminals, authorities, shipowners and cargo stakeholders, as well as high operational standards to ensure safe and efficient execution.

The operations further strengthen Ian Taylor’s positioning as a reliable partner for breakbulk, multipurpose and project cargo vessel agency services on the West Coast of South America.
